Moong slot booking deadline is August 10, 2026.
Government will procure 60% of eligible moong production.
Eligible urad farmers get ₹600/quintal bonus with MSP.
Hybrid mode introduced for transparent fertilizer distribution.
Madhya Pradesh government has extended the deadline for the procurement of summer moong and urad under the Price Support Scheme (PSS), giving farmers more time to sell their produce at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The slot booking deadline for moong procurement has also been fixed. Along with this, eligible urad farmers will receive a ₹600 per quintal bonus over and above the MSP.
The decision is expected to provide relief to farmers who could not book slots or deliver their produce to procurement centres within the earlier deadline.
According to the Department of Farmers Welfare and Agricultural Development, farmers must complete the slot booking process within the prescribed period to participate in government procurement.
Particular | Last Date |
Moong Slot Booking | 10 August 2026 |
Moong-Urad Government Procurement | 20 August 2026 |
Farmers should note that slot booking is mandatory for selling produce at government procurement centres. Produce will not be purchased through the government procurement system without a valid slot.
Farmers who want to sell their summer moong under government procurement should complete slot booking by August 10, 2026. They will need their Aadhaar card, registered mobile number and other required registration details while completing the process.
Farmers are advised not to wait until the last day and should ensure that all required documents and registration information are correct to avoid problems during procurement.
The Madhya Pradesh government has also made a significant change to the moong procurement policy this year. Under the revised system, the government will procure up to 60% of a farmer's moong production.
The change has been introduced with the aim of making procurement more transparent, systematic and effective. The government expects the revised system to focus procurement benefits on genuine producers and improve overall management of the process.
One of the major benefits announced for urad farmers is an additional ₹600 per quintal bonus over the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
The bonus will be available to eligible farmers who sell their urad produce through government procurement under the Price Support Scheme. This additional payment is expected to improve the returns farmers receive for their produce.
The move could also encourage farmers to increase pulse cultivation in the state and support the government's efforts to boost pulse production and farmers' income. Agricultural experts believe that an additional bonus may make urad cultivation more attractive to farmers in the coming season.
The extended procurement deadline will give farmers additional time to bring their moong and urad produce to government procurement centres and sell it at the support price.
Farmers who have not yet sold their produce can now use the additional time, provided they complete the required slot booking within the deadline. For urad growers, the ₹600 per quintal bonus in addition to MSP can provide an extra financial benefit and potentially increase overall farm income.
The measures are expected to provide relief to thousands of moong and urad farmers across Madhya Pradesh.
Alongside the procurement-related measures, the Agriculture Department has also implemented a hybrid mode for fertilizer distribution.
The system has been introduced to ensure timely fertilizer availability and bring greater transparency to the distribution process. Through improved monitoring, the department aims to make fertilizer distribution more effective and reduce unnecessary difficulties faced by farmers while obtaining fertilizers.
Farmers planning to participate in government procurement should complete the required formalities without waiting for the deadline. In particular, moong farmers must complete slot booking by August 10, 2026, while the extended government procurement window will remain open until August 20, 2026.
Farmers should keep their Aadhaar card, registered mobile number and other required registration details ready. Urad farmers should also ensure that their produce is sold through the eligible government procurement system to receive the ₹600 per quintal bonus along with MSP.
The extension of the procurement period and additional incentive for urad are expected to provide greater selling opportunities and financial support to pulse farmers in Madhya Pradesh.
The extended Moong-Urad procurement deadline provides Madhya Pradesh farmers with additional time to sell their produce at MSP. Farmers must complete moong slot booking by August 10 to participate in government procurement till August 20. The ₹600 per quintal bonus for eligible urad farmers offers additional financial support, while the revised 60% moong procurement policy aims to improve transparency. The hybrid fertilizer distribution system is also expected to improve availability and reduce farmer’s difficulties.
