Mahindra CV Sales Jump 18% to 46,763 Units in September 2026, 3-Wheelers Lead Growth

Mahindra & Mahindra recorded strong domestic sales growth in its commercial vehicle (CV) and three-wheeler business in September 2026. Domestic sales increased 18% year-on-year to 46,763 units, while exports declined 7% during the month.
Mahindra & Mahindra has reported its Commercial Vehicle (CV) and 3-Wheeler (3W) sales performance for September 2026, showing healthy demand across all major domestic categories.
The company sold 46,763 commercial vehicles and three-wheelers in the domestic market in September 2026, compared with 39,745 units in September 2025. This represents an 18% year-on-year (YoY) increase.
All three major domestic categories recorded growth, with three-wheelers posting the highest growth of 26%. The LCV segments also delivered double-digit growth during the month. At the same time, Mahindra's exports stood at 4,019 units, down 7% from 4,320 units in September 2025.
Mahindra Domestic CV & 3-Wheeler Sales September 2026
Mahindra's domestic sales performance remained positive across its entire reported portfolio. The company recorded growth in LCV below 2 tonnes, LCVs between 2 and 3.5 tonnes, and three-wheelers.

LCV Below 2 Tonnes Sales Rise 19%
Mahindra sold 4,044 units in the LCV below 2-tonne category in September 2026. This was higher than the 3,386 units sold in September 2025, resulting in a 19% YoY increase. The segment therefore added 658 units compared with the same month last year.
LCV 2T-3.5T Sales Grow 13%
The 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne LCV segment remained Mahindra's largest domestic category during September. Sales increased to 26,376 units from 23,342 units a year earlier, representing 13% YoY growth. This segment alone accounted for more than half of Mahindra's reported domestic CV and 3W sales for the month.
Three-Wheeler Sales Record Highest Growth
Mahindra's three-wheeler business delivered the highest growth among the domestic categories. The company sold 16,343 three-wheelers in September 2026, compared with 13,017 units in September 2025. This translates into a 26% YoY increase, with the segment gaining 3,326 units over the previous year.
The three-wheeler category includes electric three-wheelers, making its performance particularly relevant to the growing last-mile mobility market.
Mahindra Exports Decline 7% in September 2026
While domestic sales recorded strong growth, Mahindra's export performance was comparatively lower in September 2026.
The company reported 4,019 units in total exports, compared with 4,320 units in September 2025. This resulted in a 7% year-on-year decline.

Domestic Sales Drive Mahindra's September Performance
Mahindra's September 2026 sales numbers show that domestic demand remained the main growth driver for its commercial vehicle and three-wheeler business.
The company's domestic CV and 3W volumes grew by 7,018 units year-on-year, rising from 39,745 units to 46,763 units. Growth was spread across all three reported categories rather than being dependent on a single segment.
The three-wheeler segment recorded the fastest growth at 26%, followed by LCVs below 2 tonnes at 19%, while the 2T-3.5T LCV category grew 13%.
Overall, Mahindra entered October 2026 with strong double-digit domestic growth across its key CV and 3W segments, although its export volumes remained below the level recorded in September 2025.
