Kissan Mobility (OnEv) intends to introduce 500 electric three-wheelers (L5) and 100 electric passenger four-wheelers in the current fiscal year 2024-25, with intentions to increase to 2,000 EVs within two years. OnEv is a start-up based in NCR and founded by Kamlesh Kaushik.

On their first anniversary, the startup aims to bring EVs to Delhi-NCR and Chandigarh, and later expand their reach to tier-II cities, villages, and rural areas in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

OnEv began operations in Delhi-NCR in 2023 with three L5 autos and expanded to 300 within a year, spanning Delhi-NCR and Punjab. The company teamed up with EV manufacturers like Omega Seiki Mobility, Piaggio, Euler, Greaves Electric, Graveol, and Tata Motors. They also collaborated with leasing partners to lease the vehicles.

The firm claims that it has improved the lifestyles of the drivers by raising their monthly financial earnings, i.e., A driver driving for OneEv earns around Rs 50-60 thousand per month, whereas earlier they used to earn Rs 17-18 thousand. The company has also increased its workforce from two persons last year to over 50 workers now.

Kamlesh Kaushik, Founder & CEO of OnEv, stated, "After completing one year of business, we are now aggressively looking at growing our innovative product offerings and markets over the next 2-3 years. Electric vehicles have grown dramatically as a result of their environmental friendliness, affordability, and favorable government policies; nonetheless, there is enormous potential for EV in rural areas and villages due to poor penetration by EV players. We aim to expand and strengthen rural areas and villages in key North Indian states such as Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh by providing transportation through our diverse range of electric vehicles, including innovative EV-based agricultural solutions to support farmers across the country."

Kaushik says he is keen to collaborate with EV manufacturers, battery enterprises, service providers and financial institutions to benefit from the green mobility transition. The company also collaborated with NBFC to establish charging infrastructures.
