Kia intends to launch its first pickup truck in 2025, implementing a worldwide launch strategy that covers areas such as Korea, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East.

This strategic approach aims to meet each region's unique demands and preferences, taking into account factors such as Australia's strong market for pickup trucks, Korea's growing interest in outdoor activities, and Africa and the Middle East's need for off-road vehicles in a variety of terrains, including deserts.

Kia Tasman is the brand's entry into the global C-segment pickup truck market. The Kia Tasman intends to revolutionize the concept of a lifestyle pickup by providing an ideal companion for a dynamic 24/7 lifestyle that caters to different personal and extreme leisure hobbies, according to the firm in a media release.

Kia Tasman is expected to attain great acceptance as a volume model in Australia and beyond. The Tasman name was first suggested by Kia Australia and chosen from a list of names gathered from Kia's international markets. Kia first announced its entry into the Australian Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) market in March of this year, with a TV commercial featuring 20 of Australia's most renowned sporting stars debating what the Kia pickup truck should be named.
