Jupiter Electric Mobility to Deploy 300 EVs with Pickkup by Year-End

Key Highlights:

  • Jupiter Electric Mobility will deploy 300 JEM TEZ electric light commercial vehicles with Pickkup by the end of 2025.
  • The JEM TEZ EVs offer a range of 190–220 km per charge.
  • Pickkup operates electric vehicles across NCR and tier-2 cities.
  • The partnership supports the PM e-DRIVE scheme, promoting EV adoption in commercial logistics.
  • Jupiter’s plant in Indore can produce up to 10,000 electric LCVs annually.

Jupiter Electric Mobility, the EV arm of Jupiter Wagons Limited, has signed an agreement with logistics company Pickkup to deploy 300 JEM TEZ electric light commercial vehicles by the end of 2025. The goal is to boost electric vehicle use in India’s logistics sector.

Successful Testing and Long Range

The partnership follows successful pilot testing. The JEM TEZ pick-up truck gives a driving range of 190 to 220 kilometers on a single charge, even on intercity routes like Delhi to Chandigarh. Each vehicle can carry up to 1,050 kg and supports CCS2 fast charging.

Aligned with PM e-DRIVE Scheme

This partnership aligns with the Indian government’s PM e-DRIVE scheme, which encourages the use of electric vehicles in commercial transport. As India aims to cut down emissions and improve energy security, such collaborations are becoming more common.

EV Market Gaining Traction in Logistics

As logistics companies aim to cut costs and meet green regulations, investments in electric vehicles are rising. The Jupiter-Pickkup partnership reflects a larger push to electrify last-mile and mid-mile logistics across India.

About Pickkup

Pickkup has already completed over 150,000 kilometers in EV-based deliveries and employs over 100 people. The company offers on-demand delivery, corporate logistics, and warehouse solutions.
