The Iveco Crossway has received the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024. This award was given for its brand-new front end and dashboard. The ceremony took place yesterday at the Red Dot Museum in Essen, Germany.

The new front end and dashboard were developed by the Iveco Bus design team in Vénissieux, working with the Iveco Group Centro Stile in Turin. Their goal was to improve the user experience and make the vehicle more attractive and functional in its environment.

Every year, a jury panel of approximately 40 international specialists from several specialized sectors awards the best products based on their functionality, attractiveness, simplicity of use, sustainability, and responsibility.

Heritage and Modern Features

The redesigned front end borrows styling aspects from Iveco's past, with the new emblem dominating a grille with simple, clean lines. Its design conveys dynamism and confidence, reflecting the high level of reliability and safety that transport operators and passengers value.

It expertly integrates the new LED lighting as well as the new ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) gadgets to comply with the GSR (General Safety Regulation), which is set to go into effect in July 2024.

Enhanced Dashboard

The dashboard has been redesigned for better ergonomics and safety, with controls easily accessible to the driver without taking their hands off the wheel.

Proud Moment for Iveco

Alexandre Verwilghen, Iveco Bus designer, stated, "We are really delighted to have received this important award for the design of our Crossway new style. It is recognition that we have been able to provide a design that meets the new regulatory standards for improving user safety while also adding a compelling and distinctive look to our new range."
