Total electric bus sales reached 710 units in June 2026.
Overall registrations increased by 97.2% compared to May 2026.
Switch Mobility emerged as the market leader with 175 units and 24.6% market share.
PMI Electro Mobility ranked second with 157 units, followed by Olectra Greentech with 127 units.
Pinnacle Mobility recorded the highest monthly growth of 940%.
JBM Electric Vehicles was the only major OEM to report a decline in June sales.
India's electric bus market posted an impressive performance in June 2026, with total registrations rising sharply over the previous month. According to the Vahan Dashboard (Pan India data as of July 2, 2026), 710 electric buses were registered during June, compared to 360 units in May.
This marks an increase of 350 buses, representing a 97.2% month-on-month growth. The strong performance reflects increasing adoption of electric buses by public transport operators and fleet owners across the country.
Among all manufacturers, Switch Mobility secured the top position, while PMI Electro Mobility and Olectra Greentech completed the top three.

Switch Mobility led the electric bus market in June 2026 by registering 175 buses, up from 52 units in May. The company added 123 buses, recording a 236.5% growth and capturing 24.6% of the total market.
PMI Electro Mobility secured the second position with 157 registrations, compared to 50 units in May. The company grew by 107 buses, achieving 214% growth and a 22.1% market share.
Olectra Greentech recorded 127 electric bus registrations in June, up from 86 units in May. The addition of 41 buses resulted in 47.7% growth, giving the company a 17.9% share.
JBM Electric Vehicles sold 118 buses during June 2026, down from 157 units in May. The company reported a decline of 39 buses, translating to a 24.8% decrease, while maintaining a 16.6% market share.
Pinnacle Mobility delivered one of the strongest performances of the month. Sales jumped from 5 units in May to 52 units in June, an increase of 47 buses and a remarkable 940% growth, resulting in a 7.3% market share.
VE Commercial registered 42 electric buses in June after recording no registrations in May. The company accounted for 5.9% of the overall market.
Tata Motors sold 20 electric buses, compared to 3 units in May. The company added 17 buses, posting a 566.7% growth and capturing a 2.8% market share.
Aeroeagle Automobiles recorded 11 registrations in June, up from 3 units in May. The increase of 8 buses translated into 266.7% growth, with a 1.5% market share.
Other manufacturers together registered 8 electric buses, compared to 4 units in May, reflecting 100% growth and contributing 1.1% of the market.
June 2026 turned out to be a landmark month for India's electric bus industry, with total registrations almost doubling compared to May. While Switch Mobility retained the leadership position, PMI Electro Mobility and Olectra Greentech also posted strong numbers. Rapid growth from brands like Pinnacle Mobility, VE Commercial, and Tata Motors highlights increasing competition as electric buses continue to gain momentum in India's public transportation sector.
