This partnership aims to transform last-mile delivery operations for electric vehicle (EV) fleets with eco-friendly practices and cutting-edge battery swap technology.
The collaboration between Honda e:Swap and Bhago Mobility introduces a new level of efficiency in fleet management. Honda’s innovative battery swap technology allows EVs to swap discharged batteries with fully charged ones within minutes. This ensures maximum uptime for fleets, reducing downtime and increasing reliability.
Bhago Mobility will deploy Honda-powered electric cargo vehicles across strategic locations in Bangalore and Delhi. These vehicles, designed for both e-commerce deliveries and passenger transport, will benefit from quick and convenient battery swaps, making them an ideal choice for companies looking for sustainable transportation solutions.
Bhago Mobility’s hubs will be located within a 10km radius of every metro station, providing electric cargo vehicles equipped with swappable battery packs 24/7. This convenient setup guarantees access to reliable and eco-friendly transportation whenever needed, offering a truly green alternative for commuters and businesses.
Bhago Mobility plans to roll out 100 EVs powered by Honda’s battery swap technology in the coming months, with an ambitious target of reaching 10,000 vehicles by 2028.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Takuya Taniguchi, President and CMD of Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt Ltd (Honda e:Swap), said, “We are thrilled to introduce the Honda e:Swap service for Bhago Mobility in Bangalore as we celebrate World EV Day. This partnership is a crucial step toward providing sustainable, efficient, and advanced solutions for urban mobility. With Honda e:Swap’s advanced battery technology, we are confident in offering superior service to our clients while significantly reducing our carbon footprint.”
Bhago Mobility’s commitment to sustainability doesn’t stop with fleet management. The company is working on building solar-powered hubs that will operate with 360-degree green initiatives. Mr. Goyal emphasized, “We ensure sustainable practices across our entire process. These solar-powered hubs not only support our operations but also reflect our dedication to an eco-friendly approach.”
