Greaves Cotton Limited has appointed Manish Poddar as Group CFO effective March 19, 2026, following Akhila Balachandar's resignation. The appointment was approved by the board and aligns with SEBI regulations.

Greaves Cotton Limited has announced a major leadership change in its finance division. Manish Poddar will become Group Chief Financial Officer effective March 19, 2026. The company's Board of Directors approved the appointment during a meeting on March 13, 2026, at the corporate office in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The meeting started at 9:45 a.m. and ended at 10:30 a.m. IST.
The change follows the resignation of Akhila Balachandar, who served as CFO and Key Managerial Personnel. Balachandar submitted her resignation to Managing Director Parag Satpute on February 19, 2026, citing personal reasons and other priorities. In her resignation letter, she thanked the Chairman, Board members, and management for their support. She also committed to a smooth transition and requested the necessary regulatory filings with the Registrar of Companies.
The Board approved Poddar's appointment based on recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee. This process aligns with standard corporate governance practices for senior leadership roles. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015, and the SEBI Master Circular dated January 30, 2026.
Manish Poddar is a chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience in finance, treasury, investor relations, governance, and strategic business partnering. He previously served as CFO at GMM Pfaudler Limited, a global process equipment manufacturer, and at GreenCell Mobility Private Limited, which operates in electric and clean mobility.
Poddar has also held senior finance roles at Diversey India Hygiene Private Limited, Ranbaxy/Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, and Louis Dreyfus India Limited. His experience covers industries such as pharmaceuticals, commodities, and hygiene products.
Academically, Poddar is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He also holds an Executive MBA in Finance and a bachelor's degree from the University of Delhi. His broad sector experience and financial expertise are expected to support Greaves Cotton’s strategic goals.
Following the leadership transition, three officials are authorised under Regulation 30(5) of the Listing Regulations to determine the materiality of events and ensure timely disclosures. These officials are Managing Director and Group CEO Parag Satpute, Group General Counsel and Company Secretary Atindra Basu, and incoming Group CFO Manish Poddar.
