FADA Sales Report June 2025: CV sales increased by 6.60% YoY

Key Highlights:

  • Tata Motors saw a drop in sales in June 2025 compared to last year.

FADA, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association, has shared the commercial vehicle sales data for June 2025. The commercial vehicle (CV) segment saw a growth of 6.60% year-on-year and a decline of 2.97% month-on-month in sales.

Commercial Vehicle Sales in June 2025: Category-Wise Breakdown

Here’s a breakdown of the commercial vehicle (CV) segment in June 2025:

Commercial Vehicles: In June 2025, the total commercial vehicle (CV) sales stood at 73,367 units. In May 2025, the figure was 75,615 units, while in June 2024, it was 68,825 units. This means CV sales declined by 2.97% on a month-on-month (MoM) basis and increased by 6.60% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis.

Light Commercial Vehicles: A total of 44,469 units were sold in June 2025. In May 2025, the sales were 44,419 units, and in June 2024, the figure was 40,872 units. This shows a slight MoM increase of 0.11% and a YoY growth of 8.80%.

Medium Commercial Vehicles (MCV): In this segment, 7,393 units were sold in June 2025, compared to 6,772 units in May 2025 and 6,417 units in June 2024. The sales grew by 9.17% MoM and 15.21% YoY.

Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV): HCV sales stood at 21,447 units in June 2025, down from 24,382 units in May 2025 and slightly lower than 21,473 units in June 2024. The MoM sales declined by 12.04%, while the YoY drop was a minimal 0.12%.

Others: The ‘Others’ category recorded 58 units in June 2025. In May 2025, it was 42 units, and in June 2024, it was 63 units. This means sales increased by 38.10% MoM but fell by 7.94% YoY.

OEM Wise CV Sales Report for June 2025

In June 2025, the commercial vehicle market saw notable changes in sales. Here is the OEM Wise CV Sales Report for June 2025:

Tata Motors Ltd sold 24,436 units in June 2025, lower than 26,031 units in June 2024.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd sold 19,683 units in June 2025, compared to 17,435 units sold in June 2024.

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Ltd sold 1,439 units in June 2025, compared to 1,392 units in June 2024.

Ashok Leyland Ltd sold 13,049 units in June 2025, compared to 11,399 units last year.

Switch Mobility Automotive Ltd sold 159 units in June 2025, compared to 43 units in June 2024.

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd sold 6,901 units, compared to 5,943 units in June 2024.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd sold 3,296 units in June 2025, compared to 2,891 units last year.

Force Motors Ltd reported sales of 2,036 units in June 2025, compared to 1,542 units in June 2024.

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd sold 1,641 units, compared to 1,502 units in June 2024.

SML Isuzu Ltd sold 1,639 units in June 2025, slightly lower than 1,654 units in June 2024.

Other brands together sold 686 units, compared to 428 units in June 2024.
