The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the electric three-wheeler retail sales report for the financial year 2024-25 (FY’25). As per the data, a total of 6,99,063 electric three-wheelers were sold, showing growth over the 6,32,806 units sold in FY’24.
This data was compiled in partnership with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and is based on inputs from 1,378 out of 1,438 RTOs across India. Telangana (TS) data was not included in the final report.
Below is the detailed brand-wise performance of electric three-wheeler manufacturers during FY’25 compared with their performance in FY’24:

The Mahindra Group continued to lead the electric three-wheeler segment with total sales of 69,616 units in FY’25, capturing a 9.96% market share. This is an increase from 60,618 units and a 9.58% share in FY’24.
This subsidiary recorded a strong performance in FY’25, selling 68,931 units, a massive jump from 27,950 units in FY’24. Its market share rose sharply from 4.42% to 9.86%, contributing significantly to Mahindra Group’s dominance.
The main division of M&M saw a drop in sales, falling from 31,921 units in FY’24 to just 639 units in FY’25. Consequently, its market share dropped from 5.04% to 0.09%.
This division also saw a decline, selling only 46 units in FY’25 compared to 747 units last year. Its market share reduced to 0.01% from 0.12%.
Bajaj Auto made an impressive leap in FY’25 by selling 50,823 electric three-wheelers, a significant rise from 10,890 units sold in FY’24. Its market share jumped from 1.72% to 7.27%, reflecting strong growth in this segment.
YC Electric maintained a steady performance with 44,632 units sold in FY’25, slightly up from 42,753 units in FY’24. Its market share was 6.38%, down a bit from 6.76%.
Saera’s retail sales stood at 28,229 units in FY’25, slightly lower than the 30,137 units sold in FY’24. Its market share decreased from 4.76% to 4.04%.
Dilli Electric saw a dip in sales, going from 26,175 units in FY’24 to 24,213 units in FY’25. Its market share dropped to 3.46% from 4.14%.
Piaggio also witnessed a fall in numbers, selling 18,476 units in FY’25 compared to 24,917 units in FY’24. Its market share reduced from 3.94% to 2.64%.
Mini Metro’s FY’25 sales were 14,297 units, down from 16,067 units in FY’24. Its market share fell slightly to 2.05%.
This brand improved its performance with 13,362 units sold in FY’25, up from 12,002 units in FY’24. Its market share remained stable at 1.91%.
Sales declined from 13,963 units in FY’24 to 13,229 units in FY’25. Market share also dropped slightly from 2.21% to 1.89%.
Hotage saw a drop in retail sales, falling to 11,521 units from 13,892 units in the previous year. Its market share decreased from 2.20% to 1.65%.
This brand showed strong growth, selling 11,168 units in FY’25 compared to 6,902 units in FY’24. Its market share rose from 1.09% to 1.60%.
J. S. Auto sold 11,007 units in FY’25, a slight drop from 11,527 units in FY’24. Its market share decreased slightly to 1.57%.
This company maintained nearly stable sales, with 10,773 units in FY’25 compared to 10,712 units in FY’24. Its market share stood at 1.54%.
All other manufacturers together sold 3,77,717 units in FY’25, holding a 54.03% market share. In FY’24, these brands sold 3,52,251 units, accounting for 55.66% market share.

India’s electric three-wheeler market saw strong growth in FY’25, adding over 66,000 new units compared to FY’24. Mahindra Group led the charge, thanks to the rapid growth of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility. Bajaj Auto also made an impressive entry into the top-selling group with a massive surge in retail numbers.
Meanwhile, several legacy players like Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Piaggio saw declines, while new and smaller players maintained stable sales or showed slight growth.
