The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the retail sales data for the three-wheeler segment for the financial year 2024-25 (FY’25). As per the report, total three-wheeler sales stood at 12,20,981 units, up from 11,67,986 units in FY’24.
This data was compiled with support from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, based on inputs from 1,378 out of 1,438 RTOs across the country. Telangana’s data has not been included in the report.

Bajaj Auto maintained its top position in the three-wheeler market by retailing 4,37,637 units in FY’25. The company secured a 35.84% market share, showing a slight drop from 36.01%, with 4,20,574 units sold in FY’24.
Piaggio experienced a decline in sales, selling 89,368 units in FY’25 as compared to 95,123 units in FY’24. Its market share reduced to 7.32% from 8.14% in the previous year.
Mahindra & Mahindra’s three-wheeler business recorded sales of 77,808 units during FY’25, improving from 70,433 units sold in FY’24. The brand held a 6.37% market share this year, slightly higher than 6.03% last year.
Mahindra’s Last Mile Mobility arm posted strong growth in FY’25 with 76,894 units sold, a big jump from 31,567 units in FY’24. Its market share increased significantly to 6.30%, up from 2.70%.
A separate entry for Mahindra & Mahindra shows 868 units sold in FY’25 with a 0.07% share, compared to 38,119 units and 3.26% in FY’24.
Mahindra Electric saw a steep decline in retail numbers, selling only 46 units in FY’25 as against 747 units in FY’24. Its market share dropped to nearly zero.
YC Electric Vehicleretained its position with consistent performance. It sold 44,634 units in FY’25, slightly up from 42,753 units in FY’24. Its market share stayed steady at 3.66%.
Atul Auto showed good growth, with 28,373 units sold in FY’25, improving from 22,521 units last year. Its market share rose from 1.93% to 2.32%.
Saera Electric saw a slight dip in sales, dropping from 30,137 units in FY’24 to 28,229 units in FY’25. Its market share came down from 2.58% to 2.31%.
TVS Motor performed well in FY’25, selling 25,878 units, up from 18,541 units in FY’24. This helped the company improve its market share to 2.12%, compared to 1.59% last year.
Dilli ElectricAuto sold 24,213 units in FY’25, a slight decline from 26,175 units in the previous year. Its market share dropped from 2.24% to 1.98%.
Mini Metro EV recorded sales of 14,297 units in FY’25, which is lower than the 16,067 units sold in FY’24. The company’s market share fell to 1.17% from 1.38%.
Energy Electric Vehicles sold 13,362 units in FY’25, up from 12,002 units in FY’24. The market share increased slightly from 1.03% to 1.09%.
Unique International saw a slight drop in sales, going from 13,963 units in FY’24 to 13,229 units in FY’25. Its market share decreased to 1.08% from 1.20%.
All other OEMs combined, including many smaller EV makers, sold 4,23,953 units in FY’25. This group accounted for 34.72% of the market, up from 34.22%, with 3,99,697 units sold in FY’24.
India’s three-wheeler market witnessed overall growth in FY’25, adding over 53,000 units compared to the previous year. Bajaj Auto continued to dominate the segment, while Mahindra’s focus on last-mile mobility is showing strong results.
Brands like TVS Motor and Atul Auto showed notable growth, while electric players such as YC Electric remained stable. However, companies like Piaggio and Saera Electric faced slight declines in sales and market share.
