India tractor exports rise 30% in April 2026 to 9,675 units. John Deere and SDF see strong growth, while TAFE and Escorts Kubota report a decline in volumes and share.

Total tractor exports reached 9,675 units in April 2026.
Overall, the industry recorded 30.44% YoY growth.
Sonalika remained the top exporter.
John Deere posted the highest growth at 185.32%.
TAFE and Escorts Kubota saw a decline in both volume and share.
India’s tractor export market delivered a strong performance in April 2026. According to wholesale data, total exports rose to 9,675 units, up from 7,417 units in April 2025. This marks a solid 30.44% year-on-year growth, driven by good crop output, stable rural demand, and better liquidity in farming regions.
Note: ACE tractor export numbers are not included in this report.
The export segment showed healthy momentum during April 2026. Growth was supported by improving agricultural conditions and rising demand from international markets.
While established players maintained strong positions, the month also saw significant shifts in market share, especially among fast-growing brands.

Sonalika remained the top exporter with 2,603 tractors, growing 29.70% from last year. However, its market share slightly declined from 27.06% to 26.90%, showing that other brands grew faster.
M&M Group exported 2,007 units, registering 30.49% growth. Its market share stayed almost unchanged at 20.74%, closely matching overall industry growth.
John Deere delivered a standout performance with 1,438 tractors, compared to just 504 units last year. This reflects a sharp 185.32% growth. Its market share jumped from 6.80% to 14.86%, making it the third-largest exporter.
New Holland exported 1,096 units, a modest 3.40% increase. Due to slower growth than the industry average, its market share dropped from 14.29% to 11.33%.
TAFE reported 822 exports, down from 983 units last year, showing a 16.38% decline. Its market share fell significantly from 13.25% to 8.50%, the biggest drop among major players.
SDF exported 725 tractors, compared to 334 units last year, achieving 117.07% growth. Its market share increased from 4.50% to 7.49%, making it one of the fastest-growing brands.
Escorts Kubota exported 459 units, down from 581 units, showing a 21.00% decline. Its market share also fell from 7.83% to 4.74%.
Captain exported 309 tractors, growing 41.10%. Its market share improved from 2.95% to 3.19%, indicating strong performance.
Preet recorded 114 exports, up by 8.57%. However, its market share declined slightly from 1.42% to 1.18%.
VST exported 86 units, growing 22.86%, but its market share dipped slightly from 0.94% to 0.89%.
Indo Farm exported 16 units, the same as last year, showing 0% growth. Its market share reduced from 0.22% to 0.17%.
April 2026 clearly reflects strong growth in India’s tractor export segment. While Sonalika and M&M Group continue to dominate, the biggest shift came from John Deere and SDF, which saw massive growth and gained market share. On the other hand, TAFE and Escorts Kubota faced pressure with declining volumes, and New Holland lost share due to slower growth.

The April 2026 export data shows a positive trend for India’s tractor industry in global markets. Strong demand and better farm economics supported growth, while competition intensified across brands. The sharp rise of players like John Deere highlights changing market dynamics. Going forward, consistent demand and global expansion strategies will play a key role in sustaining this growth momentum.
