In the Indian market, Escorts Kubota recorded a sale of 8,148 tractors in April 2025. This is a decrease of 4.1% compared to 8,492 tractors sold during the same month last year. The drop in domestic sales indicates a slight slowdown in local demand.
On a positive note, the company’s export performance showed impressive growth. Escorts Kubota exported 581 tractors in April 2025, a significant rise from 347 units in April 2024. This marks a year-on-year export growth of 67.4%, reflecting increasing global demand for EKL tractors.
Despite the drop in overall sales, Escorts Kubota remains optimistic. The company mentioned that several positive macroeconomic factors are currently in place. These include:
A successful rabi crop harvest
Higher crop prices in the market
Adequate water levels in key reservoirs
These conditions are expected to support and improve tractor demand in various regions across India in the coming months.
