Apollo Tyres has launched the Endutrax MD HD, a new truck-bus radial (TBR) tyre designed for mixed-service applications, particularly for rigid tippers operating on highways as well as challenging off-road terrains in India. The new tyre focuses on durability, traction, heavy-load performance and maximum uptime for fleet operators working in demanding conditions.
Mixed-service vehicles typically spend around 70% of their operating time on-road and 30% off-road. Such operations expose tyres to heavy loads, rough terrain and abrasive surfaces, increasing the need for strong and durable tyre technology.
The Apollo Endutrax MD HD has been engineered to handle these demanding conditions while helping fleet operators maintain productivity, reduce tyre-related downtime and improve overall vehicle uptime.
The new Endutrax MD HD features an optimised casing design that helps reduce heat build-up. According to Apollo Tyres, this design delivers:
45% higher bead durability
25% higher belt durability
10% better resistance to cuts and chips
The tyre also gets an advanced tread compound designed to improve resistance against cuts and chips. Its unique tread pattern, inspired by a bear’s footprint, is designed to provide enhanced traction on loose, rugged and challenging terrain.

Apollo Tyres has validated the Endutrax MD HD at its Global R&D Centre, followed by extensive field testing under real-world operating conditions. The testing assessed the tyre’s durability, traction and load-carrying capability to ensure reliable performance in demanding mixed-service applications.
The validation and field trials demonstrated performance suited to the requirements of fleet owners operating rigid tippers across both highways and off-road environments.
Commenting on the launch, Rajesh Dahiya, Vice President and Business Head, Apollo Tyres Ltd, said that fleet operators require tyres that can perform consistently in demanding conditions while keeping vehicles on the road. He added that the Endutrax MD HD combines advanced engineering with extensive field validation to offer higher durability, dependable traction and longer service life for mixed-service applications.
With the launch of the Endutrax MD HD, Apollo Tyres has further expanded its commercial vehicle tyre portfolio with a technology-focused solution aimed at helping fleet operators improve uptime, increase productivity and reduce the total cost of ownership.
The new truck-bus radial tyre is therefore positioned as a durable solution for rigid tippers that operate across a combination of highways, rough roads and challenging off-road conditions.
Apollo Tyres’ Endutrax MD HD strengthens its truck-bus radial portfolio with a durable solution for demanding mixed-service operations. With improved bead and belt durability, better cut-and-chip resistance, enhanced traction and extensive real-world validation, the tyre is designed to support rigid tipper operators. Its focus on durability, uptime, load carrying and lower ownership costs makes it suitable for challenging on-road and off-road applications.
