Eastman Signs ₹50 Crore Battery Deal with Vande Bharat E-Vehicles

Eastman Auto & Power Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vande Bharat E-Vehicles to supply lithium-ion batteries worth ₹50 crore every year. The batteries will power electric three-wheelers across India.

Partnership to Support E-Rickshaw Fleet

The batteries provided by Eastman will be used in Vande Bharat’s E-Rickshaw fleet. These vehicles are mainly used by commercial drivers and fleet operators. The goal is to make electric vehicles more affordable and easier to use for everyday businesses.

The partnership is part of an initiative to reduce pollution and promote electric transport in India. By combining advanced battery technology with reliable electric vehicles, both companies aim to support the country’s push for sustainable transport.
