Chartered Speed Limited, one of India’s leading passenger mobility service providers, has taken another strong step toward sustainable transport by deploying 11 electric buses for employee transportation at DCM Shriram’s Jhagadia GIDC facility in Bharuch, Gujarat.
The electric bus service was officially inaugurated on December 24, 2025. The launch was attended by Sanyam Gandhi, Whole-time Director at Chartered Speed Limited, and Aditya Shriram, Deputy Managing Director at DCM Shriram. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to cleaner and more efficient staff mobility solutions.
The newly deployed electric buses are equipped with advanced safety and monitoring features. These include real-time GPS tracking, Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), CCTV cameras, fire protection systems, and first-aid kits. These technologies aim to ensure safer, more reliable, and transparent daily commuting for employees.
Commenting on the initiative, Sanyam Gandhi highlighted the company’s long-term vision. He stated that the electric bus deployment strengthens Chartered Speed’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and support the transition to environmentally friendly transportation. He also emphasized the company’s goal of building a large clean-energy-powered fleet aligned with global public transport electrification trends, while improving efficiency and safety through technology.
Chartered Speed Limited provides school and staff transportation services to several well-known clients, including GHCL Limited and Apple Global School. The company currently operates a fleet of more than 2,000 buses across six Indian states, catering to over 3.5 lakh passengers every day.
Founded in 2010, Chartered Speed Limited has completed over 15 years in India’s passenger mobility sector. Over the years, the company has consistently adopted modern technologies such as GPS tracking, CCTV surveillance, and Wi-Fi connectivity across both inter-city and intra-city operations, strengthening its reputation for reliable and tech-driven transport services.
In a major business update, Chartered Speed Limited has filed a draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a proposed initial public offering. The IPO will be subject to regulatory approvals and prevailing market conditions.
With this electric bus deployment for DCM Shriram, Chartered Speed continues to position itself as an early mover in electric mobility for corporate transport, supporting India’s broader push toward sustainable and low-emission transportation solutions.
