MoU signed for AI-driven urban mobility solutions.
Focus on first-middle-last mile connectivity.
Pilot projects in Telangana and Karnataka.
Integration of EVs, metro, buses, and data platforms.
Supports sustainable and smart city transport goals.
AION-Tech Solutions Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Theoremus AD, a Bulgaria-based multimodal transport orchestration company, to develop AI-powered integrated urban mobility solutions for Indian cities. The partnership focuses on improving First-Middle-Last Mile (FMLM) connectivity using electric vehicles and intelligent transport systems.
The collaboration will begin with pilot projects in Telangana and Karnataka. These pilots aim to connect electric vehicle (EV) feeder services with existing metro rail and bus corridors. The goal is to make public transport more accessible, efficient, and convenient for daily commuters while increasing the usage of high-capacity transit systems.
By strengthening last-mile and feeder connectivity, the initiative seeks to reduce reliance on private vehicles and support cleaner, more sustainable urban transport options. Demand-responsive EV services will play a key role in improving access to metro stations and bus networks.
Under the partnership, an advanced multimodal transport orchestration platform will be deployed. This platform will integrate metro rail, buses, EV fleets, parking infrastructure, and urban mobility data into one unified system.
Using artificial intelligence and data analytics, the platform will enable demand forecasting, congestion management, EV fleet optimization, and real-time monitoring. City transport authorities will gain better operational visibility and decision-making capabilities across multiple transport modes. The system is also designed to ensure secure data sharing in line with Indian data residency, privacy, and cybersecurity requirements.
AION-Tech will implement the pilots through its subsidiaries. ETO Motors will handle the deployment and operation of EV fleets, while ROQIT will provide digital platforms, control dashboards, and real-time operational tools.
The project will involve close coordination with state transport and urban development bodies. Key stakeholders include TSRTC, HMDA, and HMRL in Telangana, along with BMTC, BMRCL, and DULT in Karnataka. Their involvement will help align the pilots with existing public transport infrastructure and urban mobility plans.
The success of the pilot projects will be evaluated using clear performance indicators such as ridership growth, service coverage, fleet utilisation, and reduction in carbon emissions. Based on the outcomes, the partners plan to expand the model to more Indian cities.
The initiative aligns with national goals under Smart Cities and sustainable mobility programmes, supporting cleaner transport and smarter urban planning.
