BYD Unveils E-VALI Electric Light Commercial Vehicle at IAA Transportation 2024

BYD has launched its new all-electric E-VALI light commercial vehicle (LCV) at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hannover. This LCV is designed for the European market, focusing on last-mile and parcel delivery services.

Key Features of BYD E-VALI

The E-VALI, which features BYD's new design language for light commercial vehicles, stands out for its extra-large cargo volume capacity of up to 17.9 square metres for the 4.25t model, as well as an equally large payload of 1450kg (depending on size variant), maximizing productivity for busy delivery fleets. 

In addition, there is a sliding side door for loading and unloading, wide opening hinged rear doors, and folding seats to increase capacity.

There is enough height for the driver to access the van without bending, reducing the physical strain of loading and unloading freight. A bulkhead door divides the driver and passenger cabin from the main cargo area, improving safety and comfort.

Comfortable and Modern Interior Design: 

  • Clean, minimalistic design prioritizes comfort and practicality without compromising on functionality.

High-Tech Features:

  • Large touchscreen serves as the control hub for infotainment and connected services.
  • Supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and BYD intelligent 4G connected experiences.

  • Split-screen mode allows the driver to focus while passengers enjoy entertainment.

Ergonomically Designed Dashboard:

  • Console integrates wireless phone charging and gear shift lever for space-saving.

Electrically Adjustable Seats:

  • Ergonomic design for driver comfort, ideal for frequent in-and-out use, such as for couriers.

Additional Features for Comfort:

  • Multifunction steering wheel, foldable table, in-car refrigerator, cup holders.
  • Ample storage space with boxes, pockets, and USB ports for wireless charging.

Advanced Safety and Technology

Equipped with a range of driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard, the BYD E-VALI aims to enhance safety and ease of driving. Features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Automatic Emergency Braking. 

The vehicle also includes BYD’s Blade Battery technology, known for its safety and durability, using cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) material.

Innovative Powertrain and Energy Efficiency

The E-VALI incorporates BYD’s 6-in-1 electric powertrain, which combines several key components into one module, simplifying maintenance and increasing cargo space. The vehicle also comes with a high-efficiency heat pump for better thermal management in all weather conditions.
