BEML Ltd, a leading Indian company in mining and construction equipment, has launched its latest motor grader, the BG 1205, to support the Government of India's Atmanirbhar Bharat mission. The official launch event was held on April 5, 2025, at BEML’s Mysuru complex.
The event was led by Shri Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML Ltd, along with Shri Harish Duhan, CMD of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL). Several senior officials and directors of BEML were also present at the ceremony.
The launch of BG 1205 is a significant step towards reducing India’s dependence on imported mining equipment. It shows BEML’s commitment to supporting Indian industries with locally designed and manufactured machines.
The BG 1205 motor grader is specially made for heavy-duty work in challenging mining areas like SECL Bilaspur and NCL Singrauli. It features a large 24-foot blade designed to build strong roads that can easily handle massive mining dumpers.
This machine improves productivity and helps mining operations run more smoothly, making it a valuable tool for Indian mining companies. It also reflects BEML’s focus on providing modern, reliable, and efficient solutions for the mining sector.
During the launch, Shri Shantanu Roy said,
