Ashok Leyland, a commercial vehicle manufacturer under the Hinduja Group, opened its 22nd Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) dealership in Uttar Pradesh. The new RDS AUTOSALES facility is located on Chunar Road, Jamui Jamuhar, Mirzapur, and will provide sales, service, and spare parts for Ashok Leyland’s LCV products.
The dealership is equipped with advanced tools and infrastructure to serve customers across various segments, including the SAATHI, DOST, BADA DOST, PARTNER, and MiTR ranges. Mr. Viplav Shah, Head of LCV Business, highlighted the importance of Uttar Pradesh as a key market. He noted the increasing demand for Ashok Leyland's products, which are known for their high mileage, excellent performance, and impressive payload capacity.
Ashok Leyland has also set up a nationwide network of over 1,700 exclusive outlets, providing service coverage every 75 kilometers along major highways.
SAATHI SCV
The newly launched SAATHI SCV offers 45 hp, 110 Nm torque, and a 1,120 kg payload capacity. It has a 24% larger loading area than other lightweight carriers. The vehicle features LNT technology, which removes the need for AdBlue and reduces operational hassles. The FSD variant is priced at Rs. 6,49,999 and comes with a 5-year or 2-lakh-km warranty, whichever comes first.
BADA DOST
The BADA DOST range, built on a new LCV platform, includes variants like i2, i3+, i4, and i5, all powered by an 80 HP BS6 engine. This range offers high payload capacities, longer load body lengths, and a low turning radius, making it ideal for both inter-city and intra-city use. The DOST range, available in XL and DOST+ XL models, meets the needs of various segments.
Other products in Ashok Leyland’s lineup include the PARTNER load carrier for the 4-ton segment, which comes in various load body configurations, and the MiTR bus, designed for both standard and school use. The MiTR is designed with safety features that protect children during the journey. It is 100% rollover compliant and has a strong body cage with structural reinforcements for added safety. The MiTR is designed for minimal maintenance and improved profitability for operators. It is powered by an advanced ZD30 engine with a highly efficient 2.2 Bosch CRI Common Rail System and advanced direct injection, delivering 10% more mileage. This ensures exceptional performance and fuel efficiency.
