Domestic sales rose 12.08% to 21,643 units
LCV segment saw strong 17% YoY growth
Exports fell 5.61%, but M&HCV exports jumped 142%
Ashok Leyland has reported a solid performance for March 2026, with total commercial vehicle (CV) sales reaching 22,333 units. This marks an 11.43% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 20,041 units sold in March 2025.
The growth highlights steady demand across segments, especially in the domestic market, which played a key role in driving overall performance.
The company recorded 21,643 units in domestic sales, registering a 12.08% YoY growth compared to 19,310 units in March 2025. This strong performance reflects healthy demand across both medium & heavy and light commercial vehicle segments.
M&HCV (Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles): Sales stood at 14,138 units, up from 12,882 units, showing a 10% YoY growth.
LCV (Light Commercial Vehicles): Sales reached 7,505 units, compared to 6,428 units, delivering a strong 17% YoY increase.
In the export market, the company reported a slight decline in overall volumes. Total exports stood at 690 units, down from 731 units in March 2025, reflecting a 5.61% decrease.
Segment-wise Export Performance
M&HCV Exports: Increased significantly to 332 units, compared to 137 units, registering a sharp 142% YoY growth.
LCV Exports: Dropped to 358 units, down from 594 units, marking a 39.7% decline.
Combining domestic and export figures, total CV sales for March 2026 stood at 22,333 units, showing consistent growth backed by strong domestic demand.
M&HCV (Domestic + Export): Total sales reached 14,470 units, up from 13,019 units, recording an 11% YoY growth.
LCV (Domestic + Export): Sales stood at 7,863 units, compared to 7,022 units, reflecting a 12% YoY increase.

Ashok Leyland delivered a stable performance in March 2026 with steady growth in overall CV sales. The domestic market remained the key growth driver, supported by strong demand in both M&HCV and LCV segments. Although exports showed mixed results, the company’s overall performance reflects positive momentum in India’s commercial vehicle sector and improving market confidence.
