Ashok Leyland, one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has announced its sales performance for December 2024. The company witnessed an overall growth of 6.34% in domestic and export sales compared to December 2023.

In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland sold 14,204 units in December 2024, up from 13,434 units in December 2023, marking a growth of 5.73%.

The Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) segment saw a 9% increase, with 8,979 units sold in December 2024 compared to 8,213 units in December 2023. The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment remained stable, recording sales of 5,225 units in both years.
Ashok Leyland's export sales showed significant growth, with a total of 517 units exported in December 2024, up from 409 units in December 2023, representing a 26.41% increase.

The M&HCV export segment experienced remarkable growth of 144.34%, with 259 units sold in December 2024 compared to 106 units in December 2023. However, the LCV export segment saw a decline of 14.85%, with sales dropping to 258 units from 303 units in the previous year.
Ashok Leyland achieved 14,721 unit sales in December 2024 across domestic and export markets, reflecting an overall growth of 6.34% compared to 13,843 units in December 2023.

The M&HCV segment was the star performer, with an 11% growth, selling 9,238 units in December 2024 compared to 8,319 units in December 2023. On the other hand, the LCV segment showed a slight decline of 1%, with 5,483 units sold in December 2024 versus 5,524 units in the previous year.
