India’s construction equipment sector saw a sharp 33.27% drop in retail sales in July 2025 compared to the same month in 2024. JCB continues to lead the market, but its declining volume suggests increasing pressure from rising brands. Segments like All-Terrain Cranes and Bull Machines have shown positive momentum despite the overall slowdown.
As infrastructure development remains a focus in India, the coming months will be critical for OEMs to adapt, innovate, and regain volume. New launches, regional strategies, and improved dealer networks may play a key role in bouncing back from this slump.
