The Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA) has elected Shalabh Chaturvedi, Managing Director of CASE Construction Equipment India and SAARC, as its new Vice President. His two-year term will run from 2025 to 2027.
The election for ICEMA’s Governing Council is conducted every two years through a voting process, with nearly 165 member companies participating. The body allots 12 seats to primary members and 3 to associate members, ensuring fair representation from across the industry.
CASE Construction Equipment, a CNH Industrial brand, has successfully retained its representation in ICEMA from the previous term. Chaturvedi has already been active in the association, having served as Chairman of the Human Capital Panel, where he hosted the inaugural Human Capital Summit and oversaw the publication of the CE Human Capital Trends Report 2024-25, which focused on inclusivity and workforce preparedness.
Expressing gratitude for the appointment, Chaturvedi said:
“I am deeply honoured to take on this new role as this platform enables meaningful collaboration with industry colleagues, policymakers, and stakeholders as we work together to advance the growth, sustainability, and innovation within India's construction equipment sector. I look forward to contributing towards shaping a future-ready industry that delivers lasting value to our customers and the nation.”
ICEMA is the apex body of India’s construction equipment industry, working closely with policymakers, stakeholders, and global partners to promote sustainable growth, innovation, and competitiveness. Its governing council plays a key role in shaping industry policies, market development, and adoption of new technologies.
The appointment comes at a crucial time as India’s construction equipment sector adapts to changing market forces and evolving regulatory norms. Industry leaders, through ICEMA, are guiding policy directions, influencing technological adoption, and setting standards for the future.
