BEML Ltd, a leading heavy equipment manufacturer in India, has introduced the BD475-2 Dozer, the largest and most advanced crawler dozer ever built in the country. This launch is a major step forward in showcasing India’s engineering capabilities and commitment to self-reliance under the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat initiative.

Built for Heavy-Duty Tasks: Key Features

The BD475-2 Dozer is a 100-ton powerhouse designed to handle the toughest mining operations. It runs on a 950 HP Cummins QST30 electronic engine with a 30-litre capacity. The engine meets EPA Tier-II emission norms, combining high performance with eco-friendliness.

  • Semi-U Blade: 25.6 cubic meters capacity, built for heavy-duty tasks.
  • Planetary Power Shift Transmission: Ensures smooth operation and better fuel efficiency.
  • Innovative Undercarriage Design: Equipped with pivot shafts, pinned equalizer bars, and Anti-Vibration Mounts (AVM) to improve durability and reduce noise and vibrations.
  • Operator Cabin: Features an advanced electronic monitoring system, pneumatic suspension seating, and soundproof interiors for maximum comfort and safety.
