Key Highlights:
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has delivered the EC380DL UHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator to United Saw Services (USS) in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad. This Excavator will help in controlled demolition in India by offering better precision, stability, and safety for urban projects.
Key industry leaders attended the handover event, including Sanu George, Market Area Head for South and West at Volvo CE India, and S N Vinod Kumar from United Saw Services. Mohan Ramanathan, Founder Chairman of the Indian Demolition Association (IDA), and structural consultant Zaki Ahamed were also present.
EC380DL UHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator
The excavator comes with a CR-20 concrete crusher and can reach up to 23 meters. It reduces dust, noise, and vibration, which makes demolitions safer and more efficient. It will be used to carefully demolish a fire-damaged three-story building covering 50,000 square feet in a crowded urban area.
With Volvo’s stability control, reinforced high-reach boom, and dust suppression technology, the EC380DL UHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator is expected to be a top choice for urban demolition projects.
Leadership Insights:
Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director of Volvo CE India, said, “The EC380DL UHR High-Reach Demolition Excavator is improving safety and efficiency in demolition. After its successful use in Chennai last year, we are proud to bring this advanced machine to Hyderabad, offering better control, lower environmental impact, and higher precision for urban demolition projects."
Kumar added, “Working with Volvo CE for the deployment of the EC380DL UHR is a major milestone for us. This advanced machine helps us handle complex demolitions with less environmental impact while ensuring safety and innovation.”
Ramanathan said, “High-reach demolition excavators are a big step forward for our industry. They improve efficiency and safety, especially in cities where precise work is crucial. Volvo’s EC380DL UHR is setting a new standard for controlled and sustainable demolition in India.”
