To review the situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a high-level meeting at his official residence. The meeting focused on fertilizer availability, distribution systems, and steps to control black marketing across the state. The Chief Minister directed officials to closely monitor the supply chain so that farmers do not face any difficulties during the critical Rabi season.
The Chief Minister clearly stated that DAP, urea, and all other fertilizers must be sold strictly at government-approved prices. Any person or group involved in over-pricing, black marketing, hoarding, or selling counterfeit or adulterated fertilizers will face strict punishment. He warned that those creating an artificial fertilizer shortage or disturbing the supply will be booked under the National Security Act (NSA).
Emphasizing farmer welfare, the Chief Minister said the government’s top priority is to ensure that no farmer has to wander in search of fertilizers. If any problem arises at any level, responsibility will be fixed immediately. He made it clear that action will be taken against the guilty, irrespective of their position, and there is no place in the state for those who create fertilizer crises.

Over-pricing will not be tolerated, and fertilizer societies must remain open as per prescribed timings to ensure timely supply to farmers.
The activities of field-level officers and employees will be continuously monitored. The Chief Minister warned that if collusion, negligence, or corruption is found at any level, an open vigilance investigation will be conducted. Any attempt to harm farmers’ interests will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Officials informed the Chief Minister about the current stock position in the state as of December 16, 2025. A total of 9.57 lakh metric tons of urea, 3.77 lakh metric tons of DAP, and 3.67 lakh metric tons of NPK fertilizers are available.
