More than ₹4.09 lakh crore already transferred under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
e-KYC mandatory for farmers to receive the installment.
There is big relief for crores of farmers across the country who were waiting for the next payment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan). The 22nd installment of the scheme will be released on March 13.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the installment amount directly to farmers from Guwahati during a special event. The payment will be credited to farmers’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. According to available information, the transfer is expected to take place at around 5 PM.
More than 9.32 crore eligible farmers across India will receive ₹2,000 each in this installment.
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 every year to eligible farmers.
This amount is paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 and transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts. The aim of the scheme is to help farmers manage small farming expenses such as buying seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and preparing fields for sowing.
This direct support ensures that farmers receive quick financial help during important agricultural activities.
The PM Kisan scheme is considered the largest direct income support scheme for farmers run by the central government.
So far, 21 installments have already been released. Through these payments, the government has transferred more than ₹4.09 lakh crore directly into farmers’ bank accounts.
The 21st installment of the scheme was released on November 19, 2025, from Coimbatore. At that time, millions of farmers across the country received financial assistance simultaneously.
With the 22nd installment now scheduled for March 13, farmers will once again receive financial support directly in their accounts.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has become one of the most trusted schemes among farmers, especially in rural areas.
One major reason for its popularity is that the money is transferred directly into bank accounts without any middlemen. This ensures transparency and quick delivery of funds.
Many farmers use this money to purchase seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides before crop sowing. It helps them cover early farming expenses and reduces the need to borrow money for small agricultural costs.
To maintain transparency and ensure that benefits reach the correct beneficiaries, the government has made e-KYC mandatory under the PM Kisan scheme.
Farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC process should do it as soon as possible. The installment amount will be transferred only to farmers whose names are listed in the beneficiary database and whose information is correctly updated.
Farmers can easily check their payment and application status online through the official PM Kisan portal. Follow these steps:

As the government continues to support agriculture through this initiative, farmers are advised to complete their e-KYC and verify their details to ensure they receive the installment without any delay.
