Massey Ferguson® Unveils MF 3 Series Specialty Tractor: Vineyard & Orchard Solutions
DULUTH, Ga., February 13, 2024--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in agricultural machinery and precision ag technology, announces the launch of the Massey Ferguson® 3 Series Specialty tractor in the North American market. Tailored for vineyards and orchards, the MF 3 Series comprises seven models ranging from 75-115 HP, delivering compact yet robust solutions for challenging applications while prioritizing efficiency, comfort, and environmental sustainability. The debut of the MF 3 Series tractor line is set for World Ag Expo, which will be held from February 13-15, 2024, in Tulare, California.
"At Massey Ferguson, our commitment to farmers drives every design, and we're thrilled to introduce this innovative offering to vineyard and orchard operations across California and beyond," remarked Kevin Lewallen, tactical marketing manager for Massey Ferguson North America. "Recognizing the importance of productivity and cost-effectiveness in these specialized settings, we're proud to offer one of the most versatile, powerful, and comfortable machines available."
The MF 3 Series encompasses three versions tailored to specific needs: the Specialty (SP) version, providing 75, 95, 115 HP models for vineyard & orchard applications; the Ground Effect (GE) version, offering 75, 95, and 105 HP narrow and low-profile models for tunnel and fruit orchard environments; and the Vineyard (VI) version, featuring a single 95 HP model ideal for traditional vineyards.
Outstanding Vineyard Performance
The Vineyard version ensures exceptional operator comfort during long hours with its cab just over 3 feet wide, designed to navigate narrow vineyard rows effortlessly. Advanced engineering enables high power and torque at low engine RPM, maximizing efficiency while minimizing noise levels.
Farmers can customize the MF 3VI.95 and other models in the series with a choice of proven transmission options tailored to their needs for simplicity, fuel efficiency, and more.
The Vineyard model's compact front end and innovative low-profile automatic transmission fluid (ATF) components offer unparalleled visibility, complemented by a Cat.4-compliant roof and cutting-edge ergonomic features within the cab, enhancing productivity and comfort.
Innovative Specialization
The Specialty version, slightly wider than its counterparts, delivers reliable performance for operations seeking optimal returns on investment. Equipped with either a 3.4-litre, 4-cylinder engine for 75 HP models or a 3.6-litre engine for higher horsepower variants, this version ensures exceptional operator comfort and convenience with its 4-foot-wide cab, striking the perfect balance for market-specific demands. With a 26-gallon fuel tank, the 3SP model enables extended operation between refuelling sessions, delivering ample power for the task at hand.
Low-Profile Efficiency
The Ground Effect version comprises all open-station platform models in the MF 3 Series, tailored to the requirements of older wine-grape and raisin vineyards. This model combines narrow and low-profile dimensions, ideal for maximizing efficiency while minimizing noise and fuel consumption.
As with other models in the series, the MF 3GE allows farmers to mix and match horsepower and specifications for a tailored equipment solution, providing the necessary power, versatility, and comfort without unnecessary features. This fuel-efficient lineup ensures long-term dependability, ease of use, and low ownership costs.
"Massey Ferguson is renowned globally for manufacturing durable, user-friendly agricultural equipment," added Lewallen. "We're excited to bring our Farmer-First approach to a new segment in North America. All models in the MF 3 Series deliver power, maneuverability, and reliability, with a quick return on investment and reduced environmental impact."
