Mahindra Farm Equipment Business has launched the AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha, a compact, high-performance sprayer designed for precision spraying in orchard crops. Built at Mahindra’s Nashik facility, the new machine has been developed by Mahindra Innovative Technologies & Research for Agriculture (M.I.T.R.A.), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. This launch aims to support India’s horticulture farmers with efficient and accurate spraying solutions.

Compact and Powerful Sprayer for Orchard Crops

The AIROTEC Turbo 600 Alpha has been designed for popular orchard crops like grapes and pomegranates. It comes with:

• A 600-litre tank for sufficient chemical storage

• A 75 LPM diaphragm pump for high spraying efficiency

• A 616 mm fan delivering air speeds up to 32 m/s for uniform coverage

Its lightweight design makes it compatible with both Mahindra and non-Mahindra tractors, reducing fuel usage and making spraying more economical. The low-height profile allows smooth movement under canopies and trellis systems, reducing the risk of damaging flowers and fruits.

Farmers can also use the 2-speed + 1-neutral gearbox to control fan speed, allowing them to adjust spraying intensity based on crop type and weather conditions.

Precision and Efficiency Features

Mahindra has equipped the sprayer with several features to maximize performance:

• 12 adjustable brass nozzles for precise spray direction

• 5-mode controller for easy pressure and spray adjustments

• Brass agitator to keep solutions uniformly mixed

• Pressure relief valve for safety

• Tire mud scrapers for reliable operation in wet and uneven conditions

These features together help farmers save time, reduce labor, minimize chemical waste, and improve crop health, leading to higher yields. The compact size makes the machine ideal for high-density orchards where space is limited and precision spraying is essential.

Mahindra’s Commitment to Farm Mechanization
