Mahindra rolled out its 1000th harvester from the Pithampur plant.
Milestone achieved during the Women’s Day celebration at the facility.
Over 40 women professionals work across departments at the plant.
Pithampur is Mahindra’s first dedicated farm machinery manufacturing facility, launched in 2022.
Equipment produced here is sold under the Mahindra and Swaraj brands.
Mahindra & Mahindra’s farm equipment division, Mahindra Farm Machinery, marked a significant moment at its manufacturing facility in Pithampur Industrial Area by rolling out the 1000th harvester from the plant. The milestone coincided with the celebration of International Women’s Day, where the company also recognised the contribution of women employees working at the facility.
The event highlighted both a production achievement and the growing role of women professionals in the company’s manufacturing operations.
The Pithampur manufacturing facility recently achieved the production of its 1000th harvester, marking an important step in the plant’s operational journey. The milestone reflects a steady increase in output since the facility began operations.
Over the past few years, the company has gradually expanded the plant’s manufacturing capacity. The latest production achievement demonstrates the plant’s growing role in Mahindra’s farm equipment manufacturing network.
As part of the Women’s Day celebrations, Mahindra honoured the contribution of women professionals working at the plant. Currently, more than 40 women employees are part of the workforce at the Pithampur facility, working across different departments.
Their participation highlights the company’s focus on creating a more inclusive workplace while encouraging greater involvement of women in the manufacturing sector. The celebration served as a recognition of their role in supporting the plant’s daily operations and overall production growth.
The plant located in the Pithampur Industrial Area is Mahindra’s first dedicated facility focused entirely on farm machinery manufacturing. The unit was launched in 2022 to support the production of farm equipment designed for Indian farmers.
The facility benefits from a strong supplier ecosystem in the region, allowing the company to manufacture equipment that is developed and produced in India. The machines produced at this plant are sold under the Mahindra and Swaraj Tractors brands, both of which are widely known in the country’s agricultural machinery market.
Apart from the Pithampur celebrations, Mahindra also organised Women’s Day events at several other manufacturing locations across India. These included facilities in Mumbai, Nagpur, Rudrapur, Zaheerabad, and Jaipur.
Founded in 1945, the Mahindra Group has grown into one of the world’s leading multinational business groups. The organisation employs more than 324,000 people and operates in over 100 countries.
Mahindra holds a strong position in several sectors, including farm equipment, utility vehicles, information technology, and financial services. The group is also recognised as the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume.
Beyond its core businesses, Mahindra has expanded into multiple industries such as renewable energy, agriculture, logistics, hospitality, and real estate. Through these sectors, the company continues to support rural development and contribute to community growth across regions.
