This move by Mahindra demonstrates the company's commitment to providing its staff with not only technical expertise but also a deep grasp of cultural differences, hence building a complete skill set.

Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector (FES) waved farewell to a group of ten talented workers who will embark on a transforming journey to Japan in an event of international cooperation and skill development.
Hemant Sikka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector, and other corporate officials were present to give their best wishes and support to the departing workers. This step shows the Mahindra Farm Division, a division of Mahindra's Farm Equipment Sector, taking part in Japan's Technical Intern Training Program (TITP).
Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) was established in 1993. The major goal of TITP is to enable skills transfer and international cooperation by offering on-the-job training to people from developing nations. This initiative plays an important role in promoting human resource development and boosting economic growth in the regions it serves.
The ten selected workers, from Mahindra's tractor manufacturing facilities in Zaheerabad, Nagpur, and Rudrapur, are embarking on a transformative journey of skill enhancement and cultural immersion. They will travel to Nagoya, Japan, for mandatory training for 4 to 6 weeks, generously supported by the Japanese government.
To ensure a smooth process, the workers were given a thorough orientation, both in person and online, to familiarize them with Japanese culture and work procedures. This rigorous preparation demonstrates Mahindra's commitment to providing its staff with not only technical expertise but also a deep grasp of cultural differences, hence building a complete skill set.
Following this initial phase, the workers will begin a one-year on-the-job training program with Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery in Shimane, Japan. This invaluable experience promises to be a game changer, providing students with the skills and expertise required to contribute to their chosen sectors upon their return to India.

Hemant Sikka acknowledged his delight in creating an inclusive environment that allows its employees to flourish to their full potential. He stressed the importance of Japan's TITP initiative in accomplishing this ambition.
He also expressed emotional gratitude to the governments of India and Japan, as well as their program partners, for their substantial support of persons participating in this life-changing training program.
This effort is made possible by the collaboration of India's Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and major Japanese ministries, including the Ministries of Justice, Foreign Affairs, and Health, Labour, and Welfare. Their Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC), signed in October 2017, brought in a new era of partnership between the two countries in the skill development sector.
Under this innovative program, selected Indian candidates will spend three to five years interning in Japan before returning to India to employ their newly learned skills for the benefit of both countries. The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) oversees the program, assuring its seamless execution and encouraging these skilled workers' hopes and objectives.
