Women to Receive Three Months Assistance at Once

Earlier, the plan was to release the lump sum every six months, but the government changed this to three months to avoid long waiting periods. CM Saini said this will help women better manage household needs, children’s education, or small self-employment activities.

He also shared that ₹148 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 71,965 women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) as the second installment. This step reflects the state’s commitment to women’s financial independence and social empowerment.

About the Lado Laxmi Yojana

The Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana was launched on September 25, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Key points include:

  • Women aged 23 to 60 years with an annual family income of up to ₹1 lakh are eligible.

  • Beneficiaries receive ₹2,100 per month.

  • The first installment was released on Haryana Day (November 1), and the second has now been distributed.

There are around 20 lakh eligible women in the state. So far:

  • 9 lakh+ women have applied

  • 701,965 have been verified as eligible

  • 558,346 have completed Aadhaar KYC

  • Verification for 143,619 applicants is still pending

The Chief Minister urged all pending applicants to finish their e-KYC soon to receive benefits.

Easy Online Application Through Lado Laxmi App

The scheme is fully digital for better transparency.

  • Women can apply using the Lado Laxmi Mobile App

  • Verification is completed in 24–48 hours

  • Eligible applicants receive an SMS to upload a live photo and complete e-KYC

  • A unique scheme ID is then generated

Around 3,000 to 4,000 new applications are being submitted daily, showing strong public response and trust.

  • Sewing and tailoring

  • Animal husbandry

  • Grocery or small shop setups

  • Other self-employment work

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishna Kumar Bedi and other senior officials attended the press conference.

Technology Ensuring Transparency

The government has used digital tools to make the entire process easy, transparent, and fast. Applications are online, verification is quick, and payments are made directly to bank accounts, strengthening the government’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.”

Other Welfare Schemes Highlighted

The Chief Minister also shared updates on other government initiatives:

  • Under the Har Ghar Har Grihini Scheme, 15 lakh+ women are getting LPG cylinders for ₹500

  • Kidney patients are receiving free dialysis

  • Haryana is the first state where most crops are purchased at MSP

He added that the government is committed to continuous public welfare, and the Lado Laxmi Yojana is a strong example of that effort.
