Online e-KYC process explained.
Eligibility and non-eligibility clarified.
The Maharashtra government has extended the e-KYC deadline for the Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana. Women beneficiaries can now complete their e-KYC by December 31, 2025. Earlier, the last date was November 18, 2025, but the government extended it after many women failed to finish the process due to technical issues and natural disasters in the state.
This move has brought major relief to women across Maharashtra.

According to Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare, more than 1.10 crore women were unable to complete their e-KYC due to:
Server and technical errors
Network issues in rural areas
Natural disasters are affecting several districts
Difficulty in accessing online services on time
Considering these challenges, the government extended the deadline, allowing women more time to verify their details without stress.
The government has introduced an important rule change:
Women whose husbands or fathers have passed away, or who are divorced, must complete their own e-KYC personally.
They must also submit:
Death certificate of husband/father
Divorce certificate or court order
These documents must be submitted to the district Women and Child Development Officer.
This step ensures transparency and stability in the scheme.
Women can do e-KYC online from home:
Visit ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in
Click on the “e-KYC” option
Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha, then click Send OTP
Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number
The system checks if your e-KYC is already completed
If not, it verifies whether your Aadhaar number is in the list of eligible beneficiaries
If eligible, you can complete the remaining steps
Women can apply if they meet the following conditions:
Age between 21 to 65 years
Permanent resident of Maharashtra
Applicable for married, unmarried, and divorced women
Family annual income below ₹2.5 lakh
Must have an active bank account
An online application is compulsory
Women must have:
Aadhaar Card
Identity Proof
Bank Details
Residence Certificate
Age Proof
Ration Card
Income Certificate
Birth Certificate
Caste Certificate
Voter ID
Passport-size Photograph
The following categories are not eligible:
Families with income above ₹2.5 lakh
Women or families who file income tax returns
Women from families of State or Central government employees
