Push for solar pumps and rural development.
The Madhya Pradesh government has given major relief to soybean farmers by transferring ₹249 crore directly into their bank accounts under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. At a special event in Gautampura, Indore district, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the payment to 1.34 lakh eligible farmers with a single click. He said the government is committed to ensuring farmers get fair prices, even when market rates fall sharply.

CM Yadav stated that the Bhavantar Yojana continues to act as a safety net during market price fluctuations. So far, 4.39 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh have sold 7.85 lakh metric tonnes of soybean.
Under this scheme, the government deposits the difference between the market price and the Minimum Support Price (MSP) directly into farmers’ accounts. This system protects farmers from losses and ensures financial stability for their families.
Addressing thousands of farmers, CM Yadav said that farmers are the nation’s food providers and deserve full respect and fair compensation. Sudden drops in market prices often lead to big losses, he said, and in such situations, Bhavantar Yojana provides immediate financial relief.
He added that the scheme has become an important tool in stabilizing farm income across the state.
The Chief Minister also highlighted that while the state is supporting farmers through Bhavantar payments, the central government is assisting them through the Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN).
Both governments are working together to make farmers financially stronger, self-reliant, and secure.

CM Yadav emphasized that increasing farmers income is impossible without improving irrigation facilities. He announced a major project — a ₹1,538 crore barrage on the Chambal River in Depalpur.
This project will:
Provide irrigation to 27,000 hectares of land
Benefit 75 villages directly
Increase crop production and boost the annual income of farmers
The government aims to ensure that no farm in the state remains without water.
To make agriculture energy-secure, the Chief Minister encouraged farmers to adopt solar pumps. He said farmers can generate their own electricity to run farms, homes, and shops, helping them avoid high power bills. Madhya Pradesh is rapidly increasing the number of solar pumps to provide affordable and hassle-free irrigation energy.
Several new development works were announced during the event, including:
Construction of the Indore–Depalpur four-lane road
Opening of a new college in Gautampura
Upgrading the primary health center to a community health center
Ministers, public representatives, farmers, and members of the Ladli Behna Yojana attended the program. CM Yadav assured that development in the state is moving at a fast pace and will continue strongly in the coming years.

The Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana is proving to be a strong support system for soybean farmers in Madhya Pradesh. With ₹249 crore directly transferred, irrigation expansion, solar pump promotion, and new development projects, the government aims to secure farmer incomes and strengthen rural growth. Combined with central support through PM-KISAN, these steps are helping farmers become more stable, self-reliant, and confident about their future in agriculture.
