Free Solar Pump Scheme: A Joint Government Initiative

This scheme is part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) and is executed with support from the State Horticulture Directorate and Tribal Area Development Department. In contrast, general category farmers must pay ₹1,01,124 for a 3 HP pump and ₹1,29,221 for a 5 HP pump. For SC/ST farmers, this cost is reduced to ₹56,124 and ₹84,221, respectively, thanks to government subsidies.
