Subsidy Highlights: Up to 70% Financial Support

To ensure that farmers do not face water shortages, the government is providing subsidies for creating raw or plastic-lined farm ponds with a maximum size of 1200 cubic meters. Here’s the subsidy breakdown:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Small & Marginal Farmers:
    • Raw Farm Pond: Up to ₹73,500
    • Plastic-Lined Pond: Up to ₹1.35 lakh
  • Other Farmers:
    • Raw Farm Pond: Up to ₹63,000
    • Plastic-Lined Pond: Up to ₹1.2 lakh

Farmers will only need to cover 30% of the pond construction cost, while the government subsidizes the remaining 70%.
