Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL), one of India’s leading tractor manufacturers, has released its monthly and quarterly sales report for June 2025 and the April–June quarter of FY26. The report highlights a mixed performance with strong export growth but a slight decline in domestic sales.

June 2025 Sales Performance

In June 2025, Escorts Kubota sold a total of 11,498 tractors, compared to 11,245 units in June 2024. This reflects a 2.2% year-on-year growth in overall sales.

  • Domestic Sales: EKL sold 10,997 tractors in the domestic market this June, slightly lower than 11,011 units sold in June 2024. This marks a 0.1% decline.

  • Export Sales: The export segment performed strongly, with 501 units sold in June 2025 compared to 234 units in June 2024 — a massive 114.1% growth.

Factors Supporting Tractor Demand

Escorts Kubota attributed the improved sentiment in rural areas to several positive developments:

  • Timely arrival of the southwest monsoon

  • Increase in Kharif crop sowing area

  • The government’s announcement of higher Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for Kharif season crops

With the forecast of above-normal monsoon, good reservoir levels, and expected record harvests, Escorts Kubota is optimistic about the growth of the tractor industry in the upcoming months.

April–June Quarter (Q1 FY26) Performance

For the first quarter of FY26 (April to June 2025), Escorts Kubota sold a total of 30,581 tractors, slightly up from 30,370 units sold in the same period last year, a growth of 0.7%.

  • Domestic Sales: Reached 28,848 units, compared to 29,409 units in Q1 FY25. This shows a 1.9% decline in domestic demand.

  • Export Sales: Exports increased sharply to 1,733 units, from 961 units in the same quarter last year. This indicates a strong 80.3% growth in exports.
