India’s tractor sales rose 25.40% in March 2025, with 79,946 units sold across all major brands.

India’s domestic tractor market saw strong growth in March 2025. A total of 79,946 tractorswere sold, marking a 25.40% increase compared to the 63,755 units sold in March 2024. This shows a positive trend in rural demand and farm equipment usage nationwide.

Brand-Wise Sales Highlights

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M)

Mahindra & Mahindra Tractors remained the top tractor seller in March 2025. It sold 32,582 units, which is a 34.21% increase compared to 24,276 units in March 2024. The company also increased its market share from 38.08% to 40.76%, gaining 2.68%.

TAFE Group

TAFE sold 12,901 tractors, growing 18.60% from 10,878 units sold in the same month last year. However, its market share dropped from 17.06% to 16.14%, a fall of 0.93%.

Escorts Kubota

Escorts Kubota Tractors reported sales of 10,775 units, which is a 15.18% growth over 9,355 units in March 2024. Despite the increase in sales, market share fell from 14.67% to 13.48%, a dip of 1.20%.

Sonalika Tractors

Sonalika sold 10,485 tractors, registering a 20.77% increase from 8,682 units last year. However, its market share dropped slightly from 13.62% to 13.12%, down by 0.50%.

John Deere

John Deere sold 6,936 units in March 2025, a 25.58% rise from 5,523 units in March 2024. Its market share remained steady, increasing slightly from 8.66% to 8.68%, a gain of 0.01%.

New Holland

New Holland recorded 4,093 units sold, a 33.67% increase from 3,062 units in March 2024. Its market share also rose from 4.80% to 5.12%, an improvement of 0.32%.

VST Tillers & Tractors

VST sold 550 tractors, up 15.79% from 475 units last year. However, its market share dropped from 0.75% to 0.69%, a decline of 0.06%.

Indo Farm

Indo Farm recorded 533 units, a 29.37% increase compared to 412 units in March 2024. Its market share increased slightly from 0.65% to 0.67%, up by 0.02%.

Preet Tractors

Preet sold 485 units, up 4.98% from 462 units in the same month last year. Despite the rise, its market share fell from 0.72% to 0.61%, a drop of 0.12%.

Captain Tractors

Captain saw a decline in sales, selling 367 units, down 23.86% from 482 units in March 2024. Its market share also fell from 0.76% to 0.46%, a loss of 0.30%.

ACE Tractors

ACEreported a sharp increase of 101.14%, selling 177 tractors in March 2025 compared to 88 units last year. Its market share also grew from 0.14% to 0.22%, a gain of 0.08%.

SDF Tractors

SDF sold 62 tractors, showing a small increase of 3.33% from 60 units in March 2024. Its market share dipped slightly from 0.09% to 0.08%, down by 0.02%.
