Farmers, especially those from smaller, marginalized backgrounds and women farmers, have a new approach to enhancing their agricultural practices. The Agricultural Equipment Subsidy Scheme, an initiative by the state government, seeks to reduce the financial burden on farmers by offering subsidies on crucial agricultural equipment, including the indispensable tractor-operated ripper machine.

A tractor-operated ripper machine serves as a vital tool in the agricultural process, particularly during the harvesting of crops. Mounted on both sides of a tractor, this device plays a pivotal role in cutting various crops such as wheat, paddy, maize, grass, and herbs. Its efficiency is particularly pronounced when paired with smaller or mini tractors, with the front rippers being the most commonly utilized variant.
An array of companies offers tractor-operated rippers in the market, catering to diverse needs. Brands such as Greaves Cotton, Shrechi, VST, and Mahindra provide options with prices ranging from Rs 60,000 to Rs 3.79 lakh. However, to avail of the subsidies, farmers must ensure procurement from a company or dealer listed by the Agriculture Department.
Under this scheme, farmers stand to benefit significantly, receiving a subsidy amounting to 50% of the machine's cost or a maximum of Rs 30,000 to Rs 75,000, depending on the machine's capacity (20 B.H.P. to less than 35 B.H.P.). Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, small and marginal farmers, and women farmers are entitled to this subsidy. For other farmers, the subsidy entails 40% of the machine's cost or a maximum of Rs 24,000 to Rs 60,000, whichever is less.
Facilitating accessibility, the application process is streamlined through the Rajkisan Sathi Portal. Farmers in Rajasthan can conveniently submit their applications online or visit the nearest e-Mitra center for assistance. Essential documents such as Aadhar Card, Jamabandi (not older than six months), caste certificate, and Tractor Registration Certificate (RC) must accompany the application for seamless processing.
Once administrative approval is secured from the agriculture office, farmers can proceed with equipment acquisition. Following verification by the Agriculture Supervisor or Assistant Agriculture Officer, the subsidy amount will be disbursed directly into the farmer's designated bank account.
For further inquiries and assistance, farmers are encouraged to engage with the Agriculture Supervisor and Assistant Agriculture Officer in their respective areas. Additionally, comprehensive information is available on the official website of the Agriculture Department.
By leveraging this subsidy scheme, farmers can fortify their agricultural attempts, driving sustainable growth and prosperity within the agricultural landscape.

The Agricultural Equipment Subsidy Scheme presents a vital opportunity for farmers to access essential tools like tractor-operated ripper machines at subsidized rates, fostering efficiency and productivity in agricultural practices. By streamlining the application process and providing financial assistance, the scheme empowers farmers, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds, to enhance their livelihoods and contribute to the growth of the agricultural sector in Rajasthan.
