Zuperia Auto enters the electric passenger 3-wheeler market with the launch of Youdha epod, eyes ₹1,000 crore revenue by 2030 and plans future expansion into e-2Ws.
Zuperia Auto Enters Electric Passenger 3-Wheeler Market with New Launch and Big Growth Plans

Key Highlights:

  • Zuperia Auto launched its new electric passenger three-wheeler named Youdha epod at ₹2.79 lakh.
  • The company aims to sell 3,000 units of the new model by the end of this financial year.
  • Zuperia is targeting ₹1,000 crore revenue by 2030 and plans to use up to 80% of its 1 lakh unit production capacity.
  • New wider variants of electric three-wheelers and a driver-plus-six seating option are in the pipeline.
  • An all-new electric two-wheeler brand is expected to be launched by the company within the next two years.

Zuperia Auto Pvt Ltd has made a bold entry into the electric passenger three-wheeler market with the launch of its brand-new model, the Youdha epod. This move signals the company’s serious ambitions to expand in India’s growing EV space and capture a strong share in the L5 segment.

Youdha epod Launched at ₹2.79 Lakh

At a recent event, CEO Ayush Lohia unveiled the Youdha epod, an electric three-wheeler priced at ₹2.79 lakh. This new passenger model will take on some of the biggest names in the electric mobility space, including Mahindra, Bajaj, and TVS.

The Youdha epod falls under the L5 category, which is gaining popularity among urban and semi-urban commuters due to its higher passenger capacity and better performance than traditional e-rickshaws. With this new launch, the company hopes to attract both fleet operators and independent drivers looking for reliable, cost-effective electric mobility options.

Sales Target Set at 3,000 Units in FY25

Zuperia Auto has set a new target to sell around 3,000 units of the Youdha epod by the end of this financial year. This follows the company’s successful performance last year, when it sold nearly 10,000 e-rickshaws under its existing Lohia and Youdha brands.

Plans to Launch Wider Variants and More Choices

To cater to a broader range of customer needs, Zuperia Auto is planning to launch more variants of electric three-wheelers. One of the upcoming versions might be a wider model that can seat a driver plus six passengers comfortably. This development aims to meet growing demand in shared mobility services like e-autos for city transport.

Upcoming Electric Two-Wheeler Brand in 2 Years

While Zuperia Auto is currently focused on electric three-wheelers, the company has also revealed plans to enter the electric two-wheeler segment in the next two years. Interestingly, this new market will be introduced under an entirely different brand name, signalling a new identity for a different audience.

1 Lakh Unit Production Capacity in Uttarakhand

Zuperia Auto’s production facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, plays a central role in its future roadmap. The plant currently has a production capacity of 1 lakh units annually. The company plans to use 70-80% of this capacity to achieve its ambitious revenue target of ₹1,000 crore by 2030.

Aiming for Leadership in the EV Sector

With a strong focus on innovation, a clear sales strategy, and expansion into new product lines, Zuperia Auto is gearing up to become a significant player in the electric vehicle industry. Its efforts to offer more choices, maintain affordability, and scale operations position it well for long-term success.
