Zingbus has introduced its premium electric intercity service, Zingbus Plus Electric, starting with the Delhi to Dehradun route. This marks a major step toward sustainable long-distance travel in India, offering passengers comfort, affordability, and eco-friendly mobility.

Focus on Clean and Comfortable Travel

The Zingbus Plus Electric service promises the same premium features as its existing buses, including comfortable seating, professional crew service, digital booking options, and 24/7 customer support. Each bus is designed with long-range capability and optimized charging to ensure smooth travel with minimal downtime.

Passengers using the Zingbus Pass can book the service at ₹299 per ride, which also includes free travel insurance and flexible scheduling.

Partnership for Sustainable Growth

To support the rollout of electric buses, Zingbus has partnered with Jio-bp to build reliable charging infrastructure along major travel corridors. This collaboration ensures that buses can operate efficiently while helping reduce dependency on fossil fuels.

The initiative also aligns with India’s national goal of promoting clean energy in transportation. By adopting electric buses, Zingbus aims to cut carbon emissions and lower long-term operational costs.

Expansion Plans Across India

Prashant Kumar, Co-founder of Zingbus, revealed that the company has ambitious expansion plans. Within the next year, Zingbus will operate 70 electric buses across northern and southern India. Looking ahead, the company targets deploying 3,000 electric buses by 2030.

Importantly, Zingbus is not looking to replace small and medium fleet operators but instead plans to support them in transitioning to electric mobility. This will be done by providing access to technology, data insights, and operational expertise.

Driving India Toward Green Mobility

The launch of Zingbus Plus Electric highlights how private transport operators are contributing to India’s green mobility mission. By offering affordable, premium, and sustainable travel, Zingbus is setting the tone for the future of intercity transportation in the country.
