VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has opened a new manufacturing facility at its Bhopal plant for the Eicher Pro X range of small truck. The facility features an all-women final assembly line and was inaugurated on February 13 by Volvo Group CEO Martin Lundstedt and Eicher Motors Chairman Siddhartha Lal.

During the ceremony, Martin Lundstedt spoke about India's accomplishments in sustainable logistics and public transportation. Siddhartha Lal highlighted the electric-first launch of Eicher Pro X as part of Eicher's commercial vehicle modernization initiatives, while VECV Chairperson Sofia Frändberg emphasized the company's focus on manufacturing innovation and workplace inclusivity.
VECV Managing Director Vinod Aggarwal emphasized the importance of customers in the Pro X range development process, noting that the new product line is designed to satisfy the needs of modern logistics operations.
