In January 2025, VECV, a prominent player in India's commercial vehicle market, witnessed a growth of 18.17% in its sales. The company, known for its diversified portfolio of trucks and buses, sold a total of 6,295 units in January 2025, compared to 5,327 units in January 2024.
VECV, a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has emerged as a key player in India's commercial vehicle market.
Eicher Records 19.14% growth in CV Sales
Eicher Trucks, a subsidiary of VECV, experienced a 19.14% year-on-year growth in its commercial vehicle sales in January 2025. The company sold a total of 5,794 units in January 2025, which is lower than the 4,863 units sold in January 2024.

Heavy Duty Segment: Sales in this segment experienced a growth of 21.50%, with 2,007 units sold in January 2025 compared to 1,652 units in January 2024.

Export Eicher Truck Sales increased by 30.47% in January 2025
Eicher truck export sales increased by 30.47% in January 2025, with 334 units sold compared to 256 units in January 2024.
Volvo sales declined by 19.71% in January 2025
Volvo Trucks reported a decline in sales by 19.71%, selling 167 units in January 2025 compared to 208 units in January 2024.

VECV and Eicher Trucks had good sales growth in January 2025. The company did well in both India and exports. However, Volvo saw a drop in sales, which could be a problem for them. Overall, Eicher and VECV are doing well, but Volvo needs to improve.
