TVS Motor Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Indian Oil) to deploy sustainable cargo three-wheelers for LPG distribution across India. The partnership aims to strengthen last-mile delivery, reduce operating costs, and improve the efficiency of Indian Oil's nationwide LPG distribution network.
As part of the agreement, TVS Motor Company will introduce its commercial cargo vehicles into Indian Oil's supply chain. The collaboration focuses on modernizing last-mile retail delivery logistics by integrating efficient cargo transport solutions across Indian Oil's domestic energy distribution network.
The initiative is designed as a long-term partnership that will support commercial logistics while promoting more sustainable transportation for LPG deliveries.
The first phase of the fleet deployment will feature the TVS King Kargo HD. TVS Motor Company will also make it easier for Indian Oil's network of more than 13,000 LPG distributors across the country to acquire these commercial cargo vehicles.
The deployment is expected to help distributors improve daily delivery operations and strengthen last-mile logistics in urban markets.
The fleet integration program aims to optimize the total cost of ownership (TCO) for Indian Oil's LPG franchise operations. By introducing modern cargo three-wheelers, the company expects to reduce operational expenses, improve productivity, and lower carbon emissions across its distribution network.
The initiative supports the growing need for efficient and sustainable commercial mobility solutions in India's fuel distribution sector.
Commenting on the partnership, Rajat Gupta, Business Head of Commercial Mobility at TVS Motor Company, said the collaboration is intended to provide reliable commercial mobility platforms that help regional fuel distribution networks reduce overhead costs while ensuring stable and efficient day-to-day supply chain operations.
The partnership between TVS Motor Company and Indian Oil marks an important step toward making India's LPG distribution network more efficient and sustainable. By deploying the TVS King Kargo HD across Indian Oil's extensive distributor network, the initiative aims to reduce operating costs, improve delivery efficiency, and lower carbon emissions. The collaboration also highlights the growing role of commercial three-wheelers in strengthening last-mile logistics while supporting cleaner and more cost-effective transportation solutions.
