Terra Motors has launched a new electric three-wheeler, the KYORO+, in India. The name KYORO+ comes from a Japanese word that means alertness and quick movement. This new vehicle is the latest model in Terra Motors’ electricthree-wheelerrange, which already includes the Y4A, Rizin, and Pace. The launch event took place at The Lalit hotel in New Delhi. BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla and other dignitaries were present at the event.
KYORO+ Electric Three-Wheeler is Now Available for Booking
Terra Motors’ newly launched KYORO+ electric three-wheeler is designed to suit city transport needs. It can travel up to 200 kilometers on a single charge and has a top speed of 55 km/h. The vehicle can go from 0 to 28 km/h in just 5.6 seconds. It can climb steep roads with up to 22% incline even when fully loaded. The KYORO+ also offers spacious passenger seating and a large luggage area, making it practical for both personal and commercial use. Customers can now book the vehicle through Terra Motors’ official website or at authorized dealerships.
According to Go Suzuki, Managing Director of Terra Motors India, the company has already sold over 1 lakh (100,000) L3-category electric vehicles, mostly in East India. With the launch of the KYORO+, Terra Motors is now entering the L5 segment. To support buyers, the company is offering zero down payment finance options through its service, Terra Finance.
Terra Motors Plans Expansion
Terra Motors, the Japanese electric vehicle manufacturer, is planning to grow its presence in India. The company aims to open 100 dealerships across the country and increase its production to 5,000 units per month by the end of 2025. It also wants a position in India’s electric three-wheeler market, which is worth around USD 1.17 billion.
Toru Tokushige, Founder and CEO of Terra Motors, said that India is a very important market for the company. He added that Terra Motors will keep investing in local innovation and manufacturing to support its growth in the country.
Terra Motors Plans 2,000 EV Charging Stations in India
Terra Motors was founded in 2010 and is based in Tokyo. Terra Motors is a growing name in the electric vehicle industry. The company has production units in India, Japan, Bangladesh, and Vietnam, and serves several countries across South and Southeast Asia. In addition to making electric vehicles, Terra Motors is also working on building EV infrastructure. Through its Terra Charge initiative, the company plans to set up 2,000 charging stations across India by 2026.
