SML ISUZU Limited has secured an order from the Indian Air Force (IAF) for BS VI, 4-Wheel Drive Troop Carriers. The company announced on March 12, 2025, that the contract is worth ₹24.71 crores for 114 units. According to the contract, SML ISUZU will deliver troop carriers with a 20-seat capacity between March 11 and July 9, 2025. The order was granted by the Department of Military Affairs under the Ministry of Defence through a standard Government e-Marketplace (GeM) tender process.

SML ISUZU, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) with scrip codes 505192 and SMLISUZU, respectively, made this disclosure in line with SEBI regulations on material business developments. The company's shares may experience movement following this announcement as investors assess the potential impact of the government contract on SML ISUZU's financial outlook for the fiscal year.

SML ISUZU LIMITED was founded in July 1983 as Swaraj Vehicles Limited to produce Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) in Punjab.
