SML ISUZU Limited has secured an order from the Indian Air Force (IAF) for BS VI, 4-Wheel Drive Troop Carriers. The company announced on March 12, 2025, that the contract is worth ₹24.71 crores for 114 units. According to the contract, SML ISUZU will deliver troop carriers with a 20-seat capacity between March 11 and July 9, 2025. The order was granted by the Department of Military Affairs under the Ministry of Defence through a standard Government e-Marketplace (GeM) tender process. 

This development marks a significant achievement for SML ISUZU in the defense procurement sector, highlighting the company's ability to meet military-grade transportation needs. The order could strengthen the company's position in the specialized vehicle segment. The company also confirmed in its regulatory filing that the contract does not involve any related party transactions, and none of its promoters or group companies have any connection with the awarding entity. 

SML ISUZU, listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) with scrip codes 505192 and SMLISUZU, respectively, made this disclosure in line with SEBI regulations on material business developments. The company's shares may experience movement following this announcement as investors assess the potential impact of the government contract on SML ISUZU's financial outlook for the fiscal year.
