SaaS model helps reduce capital cost for operators.
Expansion planned to tourist and employee transport services.
SAAM Tourist has announced a new partnership with Netradyne to bring AI-powered fleet safety technology to its network of night sleeper coaches. The Bengaluru-based bus operator will now use Netradyne’s Driver•i platform to improve driver monitoring and enhance passenger safety across long-distance routes.

SAAM Tourist will integrate the Driver•i vision-based system into its intercity fleet. This AI system provides real-time insights into driver behavior, such as:
Speeding
Mobile phone usage
Lane discipline
Early signs of fatigue
The company said that spotting risky driving practices in real time was difficult earlier, especially during overnight trips. With Driver•i, fleet managers can now receive instant alerts and take quick corrective action.
The Driver•i platform delivers instant in-cab alerts whenever unsafe behavior is detected. It also sends detailed performance analytics to fleet managers, helping them:
Identify risky behavior
Provide targeted driver coaching
Improve accountability
Recognize safe and positive driving
Since the platform works on a software-as-a-service model, SAAM Tourist can access advanced safety features while keeping capital costs low.
Himachala, Chief Commercial Officer at SAAM Tourist, said that real-time detection was a major challenge earlier and the new system solves this gap. The company may soon extend the technology to its tourist and employee transport divisions.
Netradyne, headquartered in San Diego, has analysed over 25 billion miles of driving data worldwide. The company offers advanced fleet safety solutions across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Durgadutt Nedungadi, Senior Vice President for EMEA and APAC at Netradyne, said the partnership focuses on preventing accidents proactively rather than reacting after they occur.
Operating since 2004, SAAM Tourist serves southern India with intercity, corporate, tourist, and employee transportation services. Over the years, the company has grown from school and employee transport to offering luxury tour packages.
The adoption of AI safety technology marks another major step in improving service quality and ensuring safer travel for passengers.

SAAM Tourist’s partnership with Netradyne marks a strong step toward safer and more reliable long-distance travel. By integrating the Driver•i platform, the company can now monitor driving behavior in real time and address risks before they turn into incidents. The advanced AI system also empowers fleet managers with data-driven insights, improving training and accountability. With plans to expand this technology further, SAAM Tourist continues to enhance passenger safety and service quality.
