In addition to providing the Electric Autos, selected women drivers will receive training to operate the autos safely and efficiently.

Key Highlights:

  • Omega Seiki Mobility will give 2,500 electric Pink Autos to women drivers across India through its CSR programme.
  • These electric autos cost ₹2,59,999 (on-road, Delhi).
  • The vehicles have safety features like GPS and emergency alerts and cost less to run than CNG autos.
  • Selected women drivers will get training and financial literacy support for long-term success.
  • The rollout starts in Delhi NCR, with plans to expand to Bangalore, North Karnataka, and Chennai.

Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), known for its work in electric vehicle development, has joined hands with Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust to offer 2,500 electric Pink auto-rickshaws across India. These vehicles will be given to women drivers to help them enter the transportation sector. The initiative is part of OSM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and is focused on supporting women’s employment and independence.

Affordable Electric three-wheelers

The Pink Auto Rickshaws are electric three-wheelers priced at ₹2,59,999 (on-road, Delhi). To make them more accessible, OSM is offering these vehicles with just a 1% interest rate. The company has shared that these electric autos cost about one-fourth as much to operate as traditional CNG-powered vehicles, to make them a cost-effective option for daily use.

These autos come with added features to ensure safety and comfort. They will not only help improve last-mile transport services but also offer income opportunities for women in urban and semi-urban areas. Safety has been given special attention, with each vehicle equipped with GPS and an emergency alert system.

Service and Technology Support for Smooth Operations

To ensure the smooth running of these vehicles, OSM will offer 24x7 service support. An AI-powered chatbot will be available to help drivers with service bookings, maintenance updates, and technical support. This makes it easier for the drivers to manage and maintain their vehicles.

Boosting Women’s Financial Freedom

This initiative is a step towards giving women more financial control and helping them take up stable jobs in the public transport sector. The project also ties in with broader national efforts like Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and highlights the spirit of gender inclusion as seen during India’s G20 Presidency.

Training and Literacy Support for Selected Drivers

In addition to providing the vehicles, selected women drivers will receive training to operate the autos safely and efficiently. Financial literacy sessions will also be arranged to help them manage income, savings, and vehicle maintenance costs. This aims to create a sustainable and long-lasting impact on their livelihoods.

Rollout Begins in Delhi NCR

The first set of Pink Autos will be deployed in Delhi NCR. The next phases will take this programme to cities like Bangalore, North Karnataka, and Chennai. The idea is to expand reach gradually while ensuring that every selected driver is fully prepared to begin working. Omega Seiki Mobility works towards reducing the overall impact of transport on the environment. The company aims to promote clean energy while supporting inclusive development in India’s mobility sector.

About the Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust

Naari Shakti Women Welfare Charitable Trust is a non-profit organisation that works for women’s welfare across the country. It supports women by offering access to jobs, education, healthcare, and community aid.
